Overview

The lapping of waves, the spray of sea foam on the wind, the ocean depths—all of these things call to your heart. You wander freely and take pride in your independence though others might consider you selfish.

Choose at least 2 of the following features:

  • Beads of moisture collecting on your skin & hair.
  • A smell of fresh rain & clean water.
  • Blue or green skin; Overlarge blue-black eyes.
  • Hair that floats freely, swaying & waving as if underwater.
  • A voice with undertones reminiscent of whale song or bubbling brooks.

Traits

Bloodline Traits are added to the base Race's in most instances, exceptions will be covered in their descriptions. Multiple instances of identical gains do NOT stack except where mentioned.

  • Ability Score lncrease: +1 Constitution OR Wisdom.
  • Age: You age just as your base Race but live 1.5x longer than their average.
  • Alignment: Independent & self-reliant, all Genasi tend toward Neutrality rather than the mercurial & Chaotic like their ancestors.
  • Size: Unchanged.
  • Speed: Gain a Swimming Speed of 30' if you did not already possess one or additional 15' if you did.
  • Languages: Gain the ability to speak, read & write Primordial (Aquan)
  • Darkvision: Unchanged.
  • Acid Resistance: Gain Resistance to Acid.
  • Amphibious: You can breathe both air & water.
  • Call to the Wave: You know the Shape Water cantrip. When you reach 3rd level you can cast Create or Destroy Water at 2nd-level once with this trait & regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a Long Rest. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for both of these & they requires no material components.
